Christmas is only a few weeks away, which means it is really about time to finally start that shopping you’ve been meaning to do for a while now.
If you’re anything like me and before the end of November you always avoid thinking about Christmas because it’s sooo far away, but then when December hits you’re suddenly totally overwhelmed because you realise that every weekend is completely busy until Christmas and there is no time left to shop, then don’t stress. I’m here to help. This list of great gift ideas for interior lovers means that the hard part (thinking) is done and all that’s left to do is pay – I’ll leave that to you!
So here is what’s making my Christmas wish-list this year:
Mark Tuckey Eggcup Stool
Made of solid radiate pine – this stool is to die for. Available in three designs: pine, limited edition oak and pine with white painted top; this stool will fit perfectly in any living area, bedroom or bathroom.
Inspired by Origami paper folding, these cushions are not only beautiful but smart and quirky. The silk print on cotton creates an elegant yet contemporary look.
MUD Porcelain Plates
Handmade in their Sydney Studio, MUD Australia’s range of porcelain products are made from Limoges porcelain sourced from France. The products are beautiful with a hand-brushed glaze on the interior of each piece whilst leaving the exterior with a vitrified stone-like surface. They’re available in heaps of colours. I’d be happy receiving anything from MUD.
Pod Pendant Light by Alex Earl
Melbourne based furniture and lighting designer Alex Earl of Earl Pinto is one designer to watch. His range of Pod Pendant lights in bamboo, brass, brass filigree and European birch plywood is just beautiful.
Painting by Rachel Castle
Rachel Castle of Castle and Things is incredible. Her bright, inspirational artworks, bed linen and cushions are gorgeous! Her free-form paintings on linen are fun, colourful and perfect for making summer stay all year round.
Pony Rider Canvas Throw
Made from 100% Cotton Linen blend, these printed canvas throws are beautiful. Each throw is handmade with the most inspiring and lovely screen-printed designs.
Pot Holder by Pop & Scott
Poppy from Melbourne based creative studio Pop & Scott has handmade these lightweight, fibreglass pots for indoor or outdoor use. The colours and patterns are so much fun.
Brass Hanging Sculpture
This handmade brass geometric hanging sculpture is modern, fun and classy all at once. Made by Melissa of Etsy store HRUSKAA in the US. Might be tight to get it before Christmas, but definitely worth a try.
